Hello, fellow bird watchers: 92*F 74*DP HI 103*.Hot, hot, hot! As you have probably heard, there is a flood going on here.Only the water fowl are enjoying it.Spring came a bit late this year and my plants are finally catching up.Did not see as many varieties of birds this year either. The hummers have been here quite a bit.Did not see any Red-headed woodpeckers this year or white-crowned sparrows. My upside-down suet feeders have worked perfectly. There are orioles still here coming to the jelly. Both males and females. There are a pair of robins who have made my yard their territory, most likely because I give them grapes.Have not been down in the woods because the mosquitoes are a terror.Hope you have a grand Fourth of July! Good birding and gardening.
