I have finally tracked my Monarch caterpillars. I have 2 chrysalis in my new cage, and seven more jay dancing.I had 15 all together, but some I have lost in my jungle of a garden. What was really amazing is that yesterday, a Monarch laid new eggs as I was tracking. She was so brilliant in the way she laid them. She felt the other large caterpillars and decided to lay her eggs in the flowers that thad yet to bloom. Therefore securing proper hatching without others eating the leaves before they hatch..brilliant girl! I am so excited for those I will help hatch, and the others on the way. This is going to be a great year for the Monarchs!
