My first monarch of the year showed up today, July 18, on my milkweed. I live in Port Williams, Nova Scotia. I get quite excited when I see the first monarch each season, and take lots of pictures. This was the best of them.
I hope there will be a good number of monarchs here this year. Last year was really disappointing, not that we ever get huge numbers, but last year was especially poor.
