Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 07/21/2011

Number: 1

I got to witness a female Monarch laying eggs on our milkweed plants, it was quite windy that day and she hung on for dear life, she was in pretty good shape no tatters or rips, and she managed to get to every plant to complete her mission,I thought I would not get any Monarchs this year but patience is a virtue, with the rivers being so high still at this time there are hardly any mosquitos here, usually the city would have sprayed for them at least twice by now killing every winged insect. She made it here in that window of opportunity, the weather has been hot and humid perfect Monarch breeding habitat.
