Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/03/2011

Number: 1

Getting monarch eggs regularly in the milkweed garden over the past 2 weeks, but have seen very few butterflies this summr as compared to others in the past. Most frequent is black swallowtail, when I usually have tiger swallowtails everywhere. Might see one monarch flying a day in the yard and on zinnias, and one tiger,...but that's it. Trimmed back the butterfly bush in the hopes that new blossoms will attract more.
