Talked to a good friend who moved to Mt. Airy, MD from the Southwest two years ago. She just started seeing monarchs in her neighborhood three days ago (Aug. 1). On her morning walks now (Aug. 4) she is spotting groups of 3 to 4 in several areas. She is amazed at their size - very large and they look very fresh and new. Hadn't seen any prior.
