Walpole Island First Nation update

The Monarchs we have been seeing are what we have had to actually find which is so unlike Walpole. In years past, we couldn't have a conversation outdoors or in the car without a Monarch passing by at least every 1-5 minutes. We have actually had to look for them this year. The milkweed is abundant all 5-7 species - not so sure yet. I did get out of the car and examine several of the common milkweed plants and was happy to see all stages of instars on many of the plants. Late August could still be a normal migration but nothing like last year's streams of black & orange.
