Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/20/2011

Number: 1

Last evening a friend told me he'd just spotted a Monarch already down here! This morning I was out in the back yard and saw one float lazily in front of me. It landed on the grass and obviously was just resting a bit. After its 15-20 second rest, it took off to the south. I'm very surprised we already have some of the beauties down here, especially considering the extreme heat we've had all summer. Temp at the time of my sighting this morning was a humid 79F degrees. Heads up to the south!!
