Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/20/2011

Number: 1

Last year we reported around the same date, just one day earlier, the sighting of just one monarch presumably on migration
back to Mexico. It does seem as if there are many less monarchs each year at our garden where we have milkweed, verbena bonariensis which they love, and many other butterfly and hummingbird friendly perennials. There has been a steady decrease in reported sightings for our area since 2009.
