Finally! We had 11 monarchs in our Black Hill Visitor Center Monarch Waystation yesterday. Three females laid hundreds of eggs on 100 very lush swamp milkweed plants and 100 tropical milkweed plants. Eggs were put in large rearing cages for protection from the abundant wheel bugs, assassin bugs, wasps, and spiders. Now there is hope that we will have monarchs present for our annual Monarch Fiesta Day.
