My backyard has several trees: live oak, pecan, Carolina buckthorn, possumhaw, as well as bushes and other plantings. My milkweed has been severely damaged by freezes last winter followed by severe drought. I may not hae anyting for the monarchs this year. It has been too hot to keep hummingbird feeders up, but I have seen a few in my flowers this summer. But with the drought and extreme heat, my fowering plants have all but stopped blooming. It will be a very bleak fall in my garden.
