This is my first report to this site. I have a garden with many hummer and butterfly attracting plants as well as a hummer feeder. All summer I have at least one female who "owns" my garden and defends it against all others. But today I saw 3 Ruby-throats, none were adult males, and there seemed to be little fighting. Perhaps the other two were "my" female's children.
