This being my first year in Washington state, I'm learning all about the flora and fauna and when things bloom, when birds come and go. Right about now I feel like an "empty nester", as it seems every bird save for raptors and crows have left our area. No hummers zipping by, no songs, nothing. Guess everyone jumped on the migration bus! Miss you my feathered friends! We will see you again.
