Hummingbirds are very active - eating, fighting off bees, dive bonbing one another, sitting in trees 'talking'. They are a lot of fun to watch at this time.
It is difficult to know how many are sighted because many numbers are probably duplicates of the same bird. I think we probably have 3-5 different hummingbirds who visit throughout the day/evening.
