Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/25/2011

Number: 8

This year we have been seeing and continue to see more ruby throat hummingbirds at our feeders that ever before. At least two or more are present almost continuously, four to six frequently, and seven or eight several times during the day. We have two feeders out. Both must be refilled at least once every day. We have seldom been able to identify a male during the entire summer, and none recently. Probably some immature males may be presnt.
