After a local air show with jets flying over for three days, I noticed that all of the Swallows in the area have disappeared. The swallow family nesting on my front porch only raised one batch of babies earlier this summer, compared to the two last year. I am now wondering if the planes drove them away or the entire flock has planned an early migration this year.
