Been a very busy summer for hummingbirds in my yard, the best year ever. In the evenings I have as many as six hummers zipping around the yard. I've seen three adult males at a time, and several juvenile males as well as the odd adult female.

I have seven feeders up and in the garden have cardinal flower, jewel weed, bee balm and other hummer favourites. They love to sit in my gooseberry bushes guarding the feeders they stake out. Lots of chittering, scolding and aerial battles going on.
