Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/25/2011

Number: 4

Last week we had 8 to 10 hummingbirds swarming around two feeders. Each feeder holds almost two cups of sugar water. Males were present. They would fo through the two feeders in 12 hours! In the past two days there have only been three or four humming birds, and no males. I also noticed that when the hummingbirds were here most were female. It started with a pair and later their offspring arrived. Every day was a feeding frenzy...fun to watch!
