there has been a flurry of feeding for about a week now. adult males are dominating the 4 feeders we have on our porch, zooming in and out, and fighting each other out of their dominance. i think they are getting ready to migrate and are building their bodies up to this. i worry that the impending hurricane irene, which is scheduled to arrive here on Saturday, will hurt many of these little birds.
