It was around 11:30 a.m. on a hot sunny morning. I was watering my flowers. I observed the monarch for about 10 minutes before it fly out of sight. I first noticed the monarch on the lantana. It was skipping from flower cluster to flower cluster. After about 5 minutes it flew to a tree/leaf in the shade and seemed to be resting as if roosting just slowly moving it's wings. Stayed there for about 1 minute. Then went to another tree/leaf and did the same thing for another 2 minutes before it flew off
