have many hummingbirds in and around our house daily. One observation I made this year from the beginning of the season, they stop exactly where one of the hummingbird feeders should be stationed and chirped ...I tell myself that they are talking to me. They know where the food is supposed to be. They are quite clever---but very competitive.
