The hummingbirds in my backyard have been few this summer, but I did see males and females every morning(3-4) as the sun was coming up. My friends in the rural areas had lots more hummingbirds than normal this summer because we are in a severe drought in TX.
The bird numbers have increased significantly today. The bickering and chasing is in full swing here. There are adult males, females, and juveniles in my yard.
