For week ending 8/28, hummingbird sightings at 2 locations in Terry Hershey Park along hike/bike trail on north side of Buffalo Bayou. (1) 0.5 miles east of Dairy Ashford (29.76 lat, 95.60 long). Honeysuckle from previous week diminished. (2) 0.4 miles east of Kirkwood (29.766 lat, 95.586 long). First sighting 8/22; territorial behavior seen 8/24, 3 (?) hummers); 8/26 2 hummers seen flying towards houses 100 yds north of bayou. Honeysuckle in bloom here. Species unknown, too distant.
