I have been seeing more than 6 adult Anna's hummingbirds at my feeders and on 08/22/11 I found an adult with a band on his leg. After taking hundreds of photos, I was able to read the full band number and today located the banding station where it was banded. The exciting part was the bird was banded Sept.6,2009 and I happened to be a volunteer at this station (23 miles through the mountains from my home) and actually helped to band it.
I'll post photos if I can figure out how to do it.
