My wife and I finished our tagging by tagging 58 monarchs in about 2 hours today. I tagged 15 yesterday and we had tagged 10 the previous weekend. I am saving 17 tags for my second grade classroom. We thought that we would have a real tough time tagging monarchs this year, but it was actually an easy year. I have been seeing directional flight and heavy feeding since last weekend. All monarchs that we captured today were nectaring on purple clover.
