Date: 08/30/2011

Number: 1

As i was trimming the shrubs in my back yard about 10:00 am I noticed a hummingbird female all light green hovering at the pear tree 12 feet up from the ground. It stayed for only a few minutes and then left. Also saw the day previous (8-29-11) 2 monarchs dancing with each other over the milkweed about 1:30pm. One stayed fluttering at the leaves of the swamp milkweed in the front yard garden island ring (also has phlox, butterfly weed, latanna, monarda bergamont, iris , blue daze flower, winston churchill aster and novi belgi aster, shasta daisy, gladiola, pineapple sage, and nasturtium) the other monarch flew to the backyard. teddie tciavolacarb@yahoo.com
