Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/30/2011

Number: 1

My bee balm patch is gone, but the female hummingbird is visiting the gladiolas and the Rose of Sharon bush several times a day. She is about 3 inches and seems unafraid of me. Her beak is so long, about half as long as her body! I will be sorry to see her go. Haven't seen a male here in a while.
