A single monarch was observed in the butterfly garden at the library, floating lazily over the blooms. We were watching a female ruby-throat hummingbird when the butterfly passed through. This week is the first time we have seen a Monarch; the Gulf Fritillary is becoming more abundant on our passionflower vine.
