Planted about five Asclepius Incarnata last fall and everyone of them survived the winter and have provided lots of food for Monarchs. I also planted about five of the common Swamp Milkweed. The Monarchs seem to prefer the hybrid variety of Asclepius, but have had some caterpillars on the common milkweed, as well.
I have plenty of Phlox in the garden and lots of other flowering plants that butterflies visit for nectar.
