The weeks of August 21-September 2nd. there has been two sets of 3 adult males and 2 juvenile males Ruby throats. Meaning there have been 10 or more total counted on two sides of house at feeders. All very aggressive. Now there is one new adult male Ruby as they all left September 1st, as fast as they came. This lone adult male is enjoying all the feeders. He will probably leave when the females start coming in next with a lot of the usual female territory fights. This is the pattern we have always noticed in past years. There are seven feeders in place with the sugar water having to be changed every 3-4 days because of the heat/drought still here. All males did drink a lot from the feeders all times of day.
