We had hummers all summer but many more at our feeders the past few days. Getting the nutrition for the trip south I expect. I believe some are young of the year as I have a male with a barley discernible throat patch as well as a mature male. They're very territorial - they chase each other off the feeders regularly & almost always feed one at a time.
