Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 09/02/2011

Number: 1

Today I saw a male for the first time in many weeks. One to two females were also present at other times. He was rather small, but his beautiful ruby throat was brilliant. Each day I am still seeing a minimum of two females, as usual, but now I often see three or four females buzzing each other away from the feeders. Even last Saturday, the day after Hurricane Irene, I was thrilled that they survived and stopped by all day, despite a very windy aftermath well into the evening.
