Hummingbird population exploded last week... for a few days we were going through almost a half gallon of nectar per day between the 8 feeders. Males seemed to be playing king of the hill with 6 of the feeders and the females and babies peacefully emptied the feeders toward the back of the property... interesting phenomenon. Based upon the amount of nectar they consumed and counting birds at feeders and multiplying by 6, we estimate there had to be at least 250 feeding here each day.
