Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/01/2011

Number: 35

Still have a good number of consumers. Definitely fewer males than we have had, but there is still lots of food being consumed. I think our biggest population is juveniles, we can see the red feathers beginning to come on their chests and necks. Over the last week they have consumed approximately 11.25 quarts in the past week, about 1.6 quarts a day. Now that we check with our history records, we think that consumption might have increased a small bit this week.
