We saw our second monarch this fall feeding on our Verbenna Bonnariensis in our perennial garden. It came just two weeks after the first one we saw on Aug.20th. It was a joy to see as each year we see fewer of these beautiful creatures. The female stayed for quite awhile feeding and then flew to a tree in the thicket behind our house to rest. When a bird flew by it quite suddenly, it then flew off to another tree.
