I love hummingbirds and live in the flight path of their migration...during the late summer, we feed hundreds of hummingbirds every day! Since mid August, we have had anywhere from 50 to 125 hummingbirds at our feeders. The Allen's came in around 8/23, then the black chins and broad tailed ones, now we have a mixture of Anna's, Costas, Black Chins and a few Allen's. We are going through about 2.5 gallons of nectar a day.
