Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 09/04/2011

Number: 23

We have several adult males at our feeders. One is a transient as he has quite a bit of weight on him and definitely is NOT welcome by any of the others. They all are still here and very active. We usually see them leave about the end of September of the first of October. Last year they were here even later!
As a footnote, we have had more hummers this years than in the last 18 I have lived here!. Have to replenish the two feeders every other day. They are the Perky Pet bottle version with the red flowers attached to the bottom of the glass bottle.
