Observed it in perennial bed containing Salvia guarantica (Black and Blue), Salvia 'Hot Lips,'Dicleptera suberecta, Rudbeckia, herb oregan0, other perennial salvias and a birdbath with water.

It landed continually on the Dicleptera over a period of at least 10 minutes. Dicleptera was not in bloom, and it did not feed from other flower species, though did fly around them quite a bit. Had to quit watching after that.
