Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/06/2011

Number: 21

adult males have not been around for awhile (10 days or so) but females remain and a few juveniles are beginning to show the tiny red jewel at the throat. I have a feeder in front of the house and another in back. Both have 2 birds using them, could be the same individuals front and back. SOME OTHERbid is also coming to the feeder. It is black and white, about 3-4 times the size of a hummer, short beak which does not fit in the feeder ports so the bird rocks the feeder to splash juice out and scoops at it with its beak. No hovering
