Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/03/2011

Number: 1

Saw what looked like an immature male hummingbird (had an incomplete ruby gorget) nectaring my spotted jewelweed on several different occasions this afternoon. I was especially excited as this was the first hummer to visit these wildflowers, which just started opening their delicate orange cornucopias this past week.
