Thanks to tropical depression Lee, the cool wind was whipping, rain was falling in sheets, the sky was dusky... and yet, four or five hummers were zooming around the 2 feeders by my front door like B-52 bombers. As I quickly dashed from inside to outside, one flew past my face so close I could feel him.
