Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/06/2011

Number: 1

Had a butterfly land on my arm. Coming out of my church, and coming around a corner, a Monarch landed on my arm. It was a blustery wind, and the Monarch clung onto the velvet on my sleeve.
I sheltered this little one from the wind, with my coat.
It stayed on my arm resting for over 10 minutes, still being sheltered from the wind. I finally walked over to the flower bed around the corner. I held up my arm waiting for it to fly to the flowers still in bloom. It stayed for another 5 minutes on my arm, basking in the sun. It then flew off, over the flowers going south. This little gift burned into my memory
