Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/06/2011

Number: 1

Another wave started showing up this morning. We had an extremely large wave last week, most likely a result of Hurricane Irene. Today, we had 10 flying and most likely an equal number in two trees on the east and west sides of a hummingbird garden. Species included Ruby-throats and a few Rufous Hummingbirds. About 50 feet away, we also observed one of our three Buff-bellied Hummingbirds on a feeder next to an RV parked outside of our barn.
