2 weeks ago a dozen monarch catapillars on my butterfly bushes. Ate the bushes almost to the ground. 2 days later they were all gone.I finally found 3 that had transformed to chrystalis. Very windy and rainy. Hurricaine Irene brushed by our Florida coast. For the past 2 weeks heavy rain and wind. One week ago one butterfly hatched?but one of it's wing was bent.It flew away. There is one chrystalis left hanging under my jasmine leaf.It seems as though it has been at least 2 weeks,so I dont know if it will hatch, The butterfly weed is growing back.
