Just three Ruby-throated hummingbirds frequenting my three feeders this week. The rise in visitors following Hurricane Irene has dropped off dramatically. The one male and two female hummers were not in evidence from 6-7p as they usually are during their last frenetic attempt to eat and defend their feeders before calling it a night.
