Just when I thought they were already headed south, a ruby-throated "hummer" was swaying on the feeder just chilling and enjoying his frequent drinks without the pesty wasps that usually hinder them from landing. I felt his relief as he just took his time and drank as much as he wanted without any competition. But I think he might have been my last as we've had chilly weather in the 50's and 60's since then.
