We released 12 monarchs this afternoon. My grandchildren and I have reared and released 143 thus far this summer. We collect eggs and caterpillars in our backyard milkweed patches. There are nearly 30 more in caterpillar and chrysalis staged. The migrating-butterflies are hatching at all times of day and night - ready to go!
