Today I had a juvenille Rufous hummingbird in my yard; ignoring my feeder and going to my flowers. (Petunias, verbina, and butterfly bush) It had lots of white on it's tail feathers. This is quite late for hummers here. Typicaly my last one leaves by the first of Sept. Maybe they are just making up for the late arrival this spring.
