Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/11/2011

Number: 1

We have had black-chinned hummingbirds all summer. A few are still here. Female Rufous are at the feeders. Beginning July 16, 2011 we had male Rufous showing up at the feeders. A few Broadtail are frequenting the feeders also. We are in the mountains referred to as high desert. Temperatures last week dipped really low. This week it should range from 88 for the high to 54 for the low. Although the rest of Texas is in a severe drought, we have had rains and are expecting rain at the end of this week.
