Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/11/2011

Number: 55

Watched along the St. Clair River today, under the Bluewater Bridge (Canada/US crossing) during this lovely warm Sunday. Counted 55 during the hour I was there. Most seemed to follow the river south but some dared try to cross over to Port Huron, Michigan. I wonder how many of those watching the boats on the lake and river noticed the Monarchs? After a wet, cool, week, I released 2 yesterday with another 3 ready to take off tomorrow (weather permitting) leaving 4. The last 1 won't be ready for 2 weeks (just became pupa).
